Steven Gerrard's U18s kicked off a great day for all those of a red persuasion by coming back from a goal down to go top of the league with a 2-1 win at Wolves.
Glen McAuley levelled the scores and captain Adam Lewis drilled home a superb winner two minutes from time.
Then, on Tuesday evening, Neil Critchley's U23s produced a superb display to beat PSV Eindhoven 3-0 in the Premier League International Cup.
Rhian Brewster opened the scoring with a superb volley before setting up Harry Wilson for his 12th goal of the season. Matty Virtue added a third and Cameron Brannagan also hit the bar with a penalty.
