Reds fans to make 10th friendship visit to Moenchengladbach
The 10th annual Liverpool FC supporters' friendship visit to Germany will take place from Friday April 21 to Monday April 24.
In 1991, a delegation of Borussia Moenchengladbach fans flew to Merseyside to present a cheque for 21,000 Deutsch Marks (approximately £7,000) to the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
The touching gesture has never been forgotten by Reds supporters and forged a lasting bond between the clubs and fans.
The 10th annual friendship visit to Moenchengladbach will include match tickets to watch Borussia in Bundesliga action, as they face Jürgen Klopp's former club Borussia Dortmund at the 54,000-capacity Borussia Park.
This year's trip also marks a special anniversary.
It is 40 years since the two clubs met in Rome for the 1977 European Cup final, when Liverpool triumphed 3-1 to win the trophy for the first time.
The itinerary for 2017 includes a guided tour of the impressive Borussia Park and the Moenchengladbach Altstadt (old town), plus a visit to the Borussia Moenchengladbach 'Fanhaus' - the official BMG Supporters Club - where a whole corner is dedicated to Liverpool FC and where the official presentations will take place.
On matchday, an all-day LFC/BMG fan party at the Fanhaus will be followed by live music from a local German band after the final whistle.
There will also be free time to visit the nearby city of Dusseldorf.

"This is just another reason for what makes these two clubs very special, two clubs with working-class support embracing a friendship that is absolutely unique."
