A handful Liverpool Legends donned their boots once again on Wednesday morning as they began to prepare for next month's charity clash against Bayern Munich with a training session at the Academy - and our photographers were on hand to snap the work out.

The Reds heroes of yesteryear will take on their Bayern counterparts at Anfield on Saturday March 24 in aid of the LFC Foundation.

The likes of Steven Gerarrd, Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler, Xabi Alonso, Dirk Kuyt and Luis Garcia will once again take to the turf to raise funds for the club's official charity.

Ninety per cent of the proceeds from the match will go to the LFC Foundation, which aims to create life-changing opportunities for children and young people. The additional 10 per cent of the funds raised will be donated to Bayern’s charity 'FC Bayern Hilfe e.V'.

Tickets for the game are priced at £20 for adults, £5 for juniors and £15 for over 65s and are on general sale now online at liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability.

Hospitality starts from £70 per person, please call 0151 264 2222 for details, or visit bookings.liverpoolfc.com/events/events.htm.

On Wednesday, Gerrard, Fowler, Ian Rush, Steve McManaman, Jason McAteer, John Aldridge and Michael Owen began to get ready for the fixture with a workout alongside LFC Foundation coaches at the Academy.
