Harry Wilson's first senior goal helped Hull City to a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The on-loan Liverpool forward marked his second appearance and maiden start for the Tigers by netting from close range shortly before half-time at the City Ground.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Ryan Kent's Bristol City and Ovie Ejaria's Sunderland played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Ashton Gate. Kent set up the hosts' third goal, which put them 3-0 up before the break, but Sunderland fought back to claim a point.

On Friday, Marko Grujic played the majority of Cardiff City's 1-1 draw at Millwall while, 48 hours later, Divock Origi came off the bench in Wolfburg's 3-1 defeat to Werder Bremen.

Also in action over the weekend were Connor Randall, Pedro Chirivella and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Randall appeared as a late substitute as Hearts beat St Johnstone 3-0, Chirivella's Willem II lost 1-0 to Heracles, and Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice in Royal Excel Mouscron's 4-3 reverse to Standard Liege.

Meanwhile, Corey Whelan followed up his first senior goal - scored in Yeovil Town's 3-2 win over Fleetwood Town last Tuesday - by playing the full 90 minutes of the Glovers' 0-0 draw with Crewe Alexandra.

But there was disappointment for Daniel Sturridge on Monday evening as he was forced off in the early stages of West Bromwich Albion's defeat to Chelsea through injury.
