If there are no hindrances, his signing should be made official by June 22 on a five-year deal with a salary in the region of £90,000 a week.

As revealed by Goal on May 9, Salah came into Liverpool’s focus after Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt did not want to risk his playing time diminishing with a move to Anfield.

The versatile attacker will join Dominic Solanke as an incomer ahead of 2017-18, with the Under-20 World Cup winner swapping Chelsea for Liverpool.

The talented teenager will officially link up with the Reds on July 1 following the expiration of his terms at Stamford Bridge.

A tribunal is expected to decide the training compensation Antonio Conte’s side will receive for the 19-year-old, with the clubs still a distance apart in their valuations.
