Mike Garrity - U23s Coach

First Name: Mike

Surname: Garrity

Job Title: U23s coach

Profile

Mike Garrity works with Liverpool's U23s side at the Academy and took interim charge of the team following Michael Beale's departure from the club in December 2016.

He was previously responsible for the development of the U6 to U11 age range in Kirkby and also worked as assistant manager to Neil Critchley - now U23s manager - with the U18s.

During his time with the club, Garrity has gained experience of working with all age groups, but after a restructure of the Academy operation in the summer of 2009, he was tasked with the responsibility of overseeing the U6 to U11 groups as well as being the lead coach for the U9s team.

"At this age you are looking for boys who show signs of potential," he said. "Can they pass and turn and do the fundamental things? Those are the qualities we are looking for.

"We have got some really good kids at the club at the moment and we'll make sure we keep developing them to help them achieve their potential."
